Susan Rutherford has faithfully served on staff at Bear Creek since 2006, originally managing Waterbrook and later stepping into the church office as an assistant to Jane Yates. When Jane retired in 2014, Susan transitioned into her current role overseeing the Financial Office. She continues to serve joyfully on Sundays—often seen welcoming the congregation with a warm smile and a fresh cup of coffee. Susan and her husband, Mike, joined Bear Creek in 1991. All four of their children grew up in the church, and now two of their grandchildren are part of the next generation being raised here. Bear Creek has been home to their family for decades, and Susan is grateful to be part of a church where Christ is first and God’s love is made real.
