As I did a FAITH program with our teenagers, one of my verses was 1 Peter 3:15. “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…”
The only way that I can always be prepared is to live in constant communication with my Father. It only takes me a minute of working off of my feelings or agenda to not only act in a way that doesn’t bring glory to God but makes Him look weak because when I take my eyes off him, the rest of the world will see only me. And that’s not an example that will carry them too far. I want to reflect God’s character so that others will want to know more about Him.
