Are you self-sufficient? Can you do without any outside help? Can you satisfy all your basic needs? Are you emotionally and intellectually independent? From our winter freeze we learned we are far from being self-sufficient; we found ourselves dependent upon our neighbors, the plumber, and most of all we found ourselves crying out to the Lord to walk us through those days, to provide the things we would need to fix our homes, to fill our refrigerators, and to bring us peace of mind.
We have a Father God, our Creator of the Universe who is self-sufficient, who needs nothing from anywhere or anyone. He is totally self-sufficient needing nothing and able to provide for all our needs because He Himself is Self-Sufficient.
Acts 17:24-25 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else."
