“Even though princes sit and talk against me, Your servant meditates on Your statutes. Your testimonies also are my delight; They are my counselors.” Psalm 119:23-24
How I wish I had known these verses as a teenager. The good news is that God’s Word is always relevant, timely, and true. Too often we spend too much time worrying about what others say about us. Filling our minds over and over again with what others are saying about us steals the joy that God has for us. We do need to check first to see if there is any truth in them and change any behavior that isn’t Christ-like. After that, we need to move on.
Spending time thinking about God’s Word not only will bring joy to our hearts but will also continue to guide us as to how to live a life that honors God!
