Do you feel like you are in a wilderness? In the Bible, the term “wilderness” literally means “a lonely place.” The Pandemic has made all of us deal with lonely places, physically and emotionally. So why would Jesus intentionally go to the wilderness to pray? He did it as an example for us. He could separate Himself from any distractions in the midst of life if He wanted. But He knew that we are not that disciplined. That we need to go to lonely places to sit still long enough to hear God’s voice, His Hope, and His promises. Take advantage of this wilderness – grab your Bible and go to a lonely place with God!
