Word of Encouragement from Kyle Wassom, Student Ministry Pastor
Believe it or not, I ran track while in High School. My usual event was the 800m, which is part endurance and part all-out sprint. Keeping my eyes on what was in front of me was vitally important so that I didn’t trip or get passed up by another competitor. The author of Hebrews encourages us in Hebrews 12:2 to fix our eyes on Jesus as we run this race of life. I think it’s safe to say that 2020 has made it a little more difficult to run with endurance, but regardless of our circumstances right now, let’s commit to keeping our eyes on Jesus. He’s still sovereign and still in control. We can trust the One who is on the throne!
