Pastor David teaches us why the gospel is so important in each one of our lives.
We vision to be a gospel-centered, disciple-making community for all people.
I want you to be stirred by the gospel –to want it to be the center of your life. And to want to live it out through this faith community.
I. What is the gospel?
It is the power of God for salvation.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
II. Why do we vision for it?
The gospel is everything you need for ultimate meaning, purpose, life, healing, and joy.
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
1 Peter 2:9 (ESV) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
1 Corinthians 3:9 It says that "we are God’s fellow workers”
III. How do we grow it?
Through our willingness to resource it by being generous and giving to the Lord in a sacrificial way. The practice of giving back is a major part of how you put the Lord first in your life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life.
