Resources and support for you as a woman and a mother.

Updated: Aug 4, 2022

Hello Mamas. My name is Lacey. My husband and I have been married for eight years and I am mama to three rambunctious kiddos. I grew up in Magnolia, Texas and moved to Cyprus in 2014. My families are attending Bear Creek in 2017, and I joined Mom's @ BC in 2008.

And I'm Raelyn. I've been married for five years, and we have three wonderful children, two boys and a girl. I was born and raised in parallel, but we currently live in Tomball. We joined Bear Creek in 2019. And I joined Mom's @ BC immediately after. We are looking forward to starting our spring semester on January 28. Moms at Bear Creek Baptist Church is a place to find friendship, community resources and a support for you as a woman and a mother. We welcome mothers of all ages and stages, mommies of babies to kindergarteners and beyond homeschool moms and mothers who just want to encourage other moms. No mom should mother alone, you need all the support you can get. Some women fear the fire, others tend to their God-given fire and use it to light up their hearts in the world. Let's be those women.

After years of hunkering down, living smaller and experiencing a little more fear and anxiety than usual, we're declaring that this is the year of going BIG. It's the year of fresh starts and turning ordinary experiences into extraordinary ones. Enthusiasm will replace worry. Friendships will replace loneliness. No longer we wait to get back to normal. Instead, we'll start making space for the new things that God has for us. We will become less guarded and more daring, because this is our year to live all for love. First Corinthians 13: 4-7 says, "Love is patient and kind. Love does not envy or boast. It is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way. It is not irritable or resentful. It does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

Love is the most powerful force on the planet. And yet the concept almost seems cliche. We tell somebody we love them and in the same breath we talk about how much we love a new podcast. Perhaps we've become so accustomed to the word that we've forgotten how revolutionary it is. How God's love changes everything. It is quite life-altering, curse-lifting and showing Christ's resurrection, quite literally death-conquering. This year, we embrace the transformative power of love to the point where it starts to affect everything we do. The way we talk to our kids, interact with strangers, handle disappointments, celebrate victories and make decisions. When love floods into our lives it all shifts. It results in less doom scrolling, more conversation, less comparison and more community. More patients more life in our souls. This year Love will save us, in fact, it already has because love is Jesus's name.

This is the year of big things. Love is starting to fling open doors and when love comes into the room. No one is safe. comfort zones crumble, relationships are born, fears cast out, wimzie is restored, perspectives shift. Ready or not, here it comes. So join us this spring as we gather and do this thing called motherhood together.
