A total team consists of anywhere between 5-8 players. We are seeking 8 adult teams - 4 for Mondays and 4 for Tuesdays.
Players may sign up as an individual or as a team. We have two leagues – Recreation for fun and Competitive for the more serious player.
We will have open play to find out about the league a few Tuesdays before the league begins. The first week of the league will have a preseason game so everyone will get some time in “real game” mode before the actual season begins.
The only equipment the game has is the bat and ball which we supply. A copy of the rules are available to anyone who plays and if requested could be emailed ahead of time. An authentic replica MLB jersey is provided to each participating player which is covered in the registration fee. Players would wear shorts and tennis shoes. No gloves are used in this game unless a player desires a batting glove.
What is Wiffle Ball?
Wiffle Ball is played with a plastic ball with holes to limit the ball’s flight distance. We play it in our gym and have rules that help make everyone capable of playing and having fun. We do not “run the bases.”
Wiffle ball is played with 5 people in the outfield. A team may have as many as 8 players on their team and if desired everyone can bat. Depending on where the ball is hit and how the fielders make plays determine the outcome of the batter.
We play as few as 7 and as many as 9 innings within the 55 minute time limit. Typical baseball rules apply. The ball is thrown from a pitching machine so as not to give anyone an advantage.
